Permanent Electric was launched in 1981 when owner and founder Terry Roberts, who had finished his apprenticeship in 1971, decided to pursue his ambitions to own and operate an electrical company.
His vision was to provide quality and skilled workmanship to the community of Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding Algoma area.
Although Permanent Electric originated in the basement of Terry’s home, the company soon grew to have a well-known reputation for offering quality services and professional expertise. It was not until 2012 that Terry decided to pass on the baton to his long-time employee and Master Electrician Mike Vallee and his son, Electrician, Steve Roberts. Steve and Mike purchased the company together and Terry remains involved with Permanent Electric as the original founder.
